Curated, private tours to India with Breathedreamgo Bespoke
India is an experience. Unlike many other destinations, India is not about checking things off a list. It’s about slowing down, immersing in the culture, and allowing it to confound, bedazzle, and astound you. And for those who want to immerse deeply into the culture, get to know the people, and find out what makes India tick, a private tour to India can help unlock the mysteries.
India can be a challenging travel destination for a variety of reasons that include the sheer size of the country and the crowds, the daunting task of booking trains and transportation, the frequency and ingenuity of scams, the sensory overload and culture shock most new visitors experience, and the apprehensions of travelling solo. And there is something else: the challenge of overcoming cultural barriers and experiencing India away from the tourism circuit and top tourist attractions. A private tour to India can help overcome all of these challenges and much more: it can open up a unique and authentic experience of India.
Breathedreamgo Bespoke is a service I am offering to those travellers who have the time, interest, and budget to step off the tourist trail and take a deep dive into authentic India. This is the India I have come to know and love over the past 20 years. Breathedreamgo Bespoke is my way of sharing a wealth of insider knowledge and tips I have gleaned from travelling and living in India for about 10 years in total over the past 20 years.
Private tours to India with a knowledgeable insider
I’ve spent more than 10 years travelling or living in India, over the last 20 years. I know the country, the culture, and how to travel well in India. Currently, I live in Jaipur. But I have also lived in Rishikesh, in the lower Himalayas – the Yoga capital of India — and in Delhi. I am a certified travel agent (TICO certified in Ontario, Canada) and a certified Yoga teacher. I also hold a certificate as a naturalist after completing the PRONAT training course at Satpura Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, India in 2020. With Breathedreamgo Bespoke private tours to India, I will share my knowledge, experience, and contacts with my guests.

Areas of specialty
Jaipur
Jaipur, known as the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan and one corner of the famous Golden Triangle tourism route that also includes Delhi and Agra (home of the Taj Mahal). I have lived for several years each in Rishikesh and Delhi, and I now live in Jaipur, where I spend my days getting to know all the nooks and crannies of this magnificent city. There is so much Jaipur has to offer visitors, from historic monuments to the best shopping opportunities in India. The old city — known as The Pink City — is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage City, cited for its exceptional “indigenous city planning and construction.”Jaipur is a city of arts and artisans, and attracts designers from all over the globe. There are shops and markets selling locally made goods, such as block-print fabrics and ornate jewellery, all over the city and many beautifully designed restaurants, bars, and boutique hotels. I love taking people on a deep dive into the heart of Jaipur on a private tour to India.

I began my travels in India as a Yoga student and have visited various ashrams and studied in Rishikesh and in Chennai. Ayurveda is a long-time interest and I have had treatments in Ayurveda in several places including Kerala and Udupi. With my extensive experience, I can help guide your wellness journey in India.

Wildlife, nature, and tiger safaris
Wildlife tourism is one of my passions and I have trained as a professional naturalist at Satpura Tiger Reserve in India. I know many of the national parks and tiger reserves well including Kanha National Park, Corbett Tiger Reserve, Periyar, and Ranthambore (and many others). Your private tour to India can include a tiger safari or other activities that include the magnificent natural world of the subcontinent.
About 70% of the world’s wild tigers are in India. To see a tiger, you need three things: a good naturalist, a good opportunity, and of course good luck. On a Breathedreamgo Bespoke private tour to India, we will ensure that you will get the two things that are within control: good naturalists and a good opportunity. But please note — while seeing a tiger in the wild is a truly incredible experience there is so much more to see and experience in India’s national parks. Yes, your guides will attempt to see tigers, but not to the exclusion of experiencing the culture and natural world of central India. A safari in India is about the entire experience of immersing in the jungles and forest, and learning about the trees, butterflies, and the diversity of animals – such as sloth bears, barasingha deer, golden jackals, wild dogs, and nilgai. And it’s also about the local culture, the indigenous people, the villages, and art forms.

If you have a special interest, and a subject you want to explore in India, I can help. I have helped put together custom tours for history buffs and readers, architects and designers, music and dance lovers, and those who want to explore the arts and crafts of India. I helped create a custom tour for someone who wanted to follow in Rudyard Kipling’s footsteps. I have taken many guests shopping in Delhi and Jaipur, and often recommend top restaurants for foodies. As a voracious reader and long-time regular at the Jaipur Literature Festival, I can help you explore the local literary scene. Whatever your interest, I can create a private tour to India for you that will offer unique local experiences.
